Description
A concept from the founders of Athens' two Michelin-starred Funky Gourmet, Pitta Bun specialises in Greek street food such as souvlaki and hand cut fries. Located on the site of the former Carnaby Burger restaurant, this 40-cover eatery treats its customers to pitta buns stuffed with sweet and savoury fillings, including slow-cooked pork neck with tzatziki, panko-crusted cod with a beetroot ketchup, and vanilla ice cream and baked apples. The bar too keeps it Greek with a range of the restaurants own-label wines, alongside draft beer from a number of microbreweries.
The decor takes its inspiration from the authentic Greek street food restaurants the line the streets of Athens, while the food presentation also offers a nod to the originals with disposable containers and plastic trays being the order of the day.
