What they say:
The latest opening from the team behind Gunpowder, Madame D and Gul & Sepoy, Custard is a cafe, bakery and wine bar inspired by the coffee houses of Kolkata. Set to open in July, this relaxed eatery in Tower Bridge will be serving up a delicious selection of snacks and sandwiches, from Goan pork sausage rolls, to butter chicken puffs and sour Narangi custard tarts with pistachio meringue. Calm and friendly, it's an ideal spot for lunch with friends, or a pre or post-theatre bite to eat.
What we say:
Setting up shop in the new One Tower Bridge development, this new bar and bakery from restaurateurs Harneet and Devina Baweja is bringing Indian pastries and tasty sandwiches to the capital. Open from breakfast time until 11pm daily, it's a top spot to grab a mutton and egg sandwich come lunch time, or indulge in some post-theatre treats such as an almond and cherry ghee cake, butter chicken puffs and soft serve custard.
