Sprout

Sprout is the first solo restaurant to be opened by Dan Doherty, the Executive Chef behind Duck & Waffle. Acting as a cafe during the day, the restaurant will completely transform itself at night, serving small plates of food that complement the wine and cocktails offered by the bar staff. 

Details remain thin at present, but chef Doherty has promised an evolving menu of British dishes, made using green and fresh ingredients - think dishes like green pea houmous with smoked yoghurt and grilled asparagus and grilled beef, served with dauphinoise chips, seasonal greens and marmite. The venue will also offer an impressive selection of wines and five cocktails that all fit with the 'green' theme. 

Doherty has not yet confirmed the exact location, but has hinted that it will be in an 'unexpected area'. Alongside the food and drink, the cafe-cum-restaurant will sell flowers, plant pots and ceramics that have been created by local residents. 

Doherty will be testing out his green dishes with a pop-up restaurant at Harvey Nichols, between the 27th-30th June.
