Description
From freshly baked treats to ethically-sourced plates and natural wines, Jolene has got all the (freshly-baked) goods.
It's the brainchild of Jeremie Cometto-Lingenheim and David Gingell, of Westerns Laundry and Primeur fame, and the restaurateurs have teamed up with farmer Andy Cato, who sources grains for the bakery from farms in Sussex and Norfolk. You'll find a bakery counter stacked with loaves and pastries; from raisin bread and warm madeleines to cinnamon buns and hefty sausage rolls.
During the day, expect fresh pasta, hearty stews and nourishing salads alongside a daily changing menu. From Thursdays through to Sundays, the lights are dimmed for a dinner menu that features simple plates. Think ethically sourced fish, pasta stuffed fresh each day and hearty T-bone steaks. You'll want to leave room for dessert; where tarts, cheeses and bread and butter pudding reign supreme... all washed down with natural wines, cocktails and fermented drinks.
