The experts of Caribbean food Cottons have proved so popular in Notting Hill, Camden and their temporary site in Boxpark that, not only did they open a permanent Shoreditch site this year, but also in Vauxhall. This one is set to be its biggest and prettiest though, featuring a 4235sq ft dining area and an outdoor terrace with enviable views over the Thames. Now all we have to do is wait for summer for the ultimate holiday dining experience.
What we say:
Well, they can’t quite bring the sun over, but there’s two other trump cards Cottons has in its deck: delicious Caribbean food, and lots of rum. Expect tasty (and spicy) dishes like 48-hour marinated jerk wings with banana sauce, as well as curried mutton with fried plantain. And if that hasn’t got your mouth watering, their rum should. Head inside their brightly coloured Rhum Shack and you’ll be treated to an island’s worth of rum and hand-painted murals of the Caribbean islands.
