What they say:

Stylish Pimlico is about to get another avant-garde addition to its streets with the opening of Mediterranean restaurant Omar’s Place. Set in a Grade II-listed building – a former Victorian pub, no less – the space comes as a collaboration between Sella Concept and architecture consultancy Wilson. This has created a unique space of sandy tones, corrugated furnishings and an interesting teal bar. There’s also a 50-capacity wine cellar event space downstairs available for private hire. The venue is currently on a soft open until the 26th March.

What we say:

You better believe the food is going to be as avant-garde as the venue. The menu is packed with interesting Mediterranean sharing plates and tapas, most of which are reimagined recipes from the executive chef’s grandmother. Expect smaller bites of Andalucian jamon iberico, Palamos prawns, and bresaola, as well as striking dishes like escalibada with anchovy crackers, red pepper, smoked sardine, and aubergine and red pepper puree.
