Galaxy Digestive Biscuits is launching the ‘Connections Café’, in collaboration with The Young Woman’s Trust, to help women build their support network through new friendships.
Ever feel like your circle is shrinking? Well, you’re not alone as 91% of Millennial and Gen Z women say they have lost friends since leaving education and 24% of Gen Z women confess to feeling lonely at least once a week, with 44% putting this down to lack of close friendships.
According to recent data, over a third 38% of Gen Z women have just two or less close friends and one in five claim that building a community of women around them is one of their top goals for the year.
Despite this desire, 40% find the idea of going on a first ‘friend date’ more nerve-wracking than a romantic first date. Fear not, as the ‘Connections Café’ will provide a warm and welcoming space for women looking to expand their community and build lasting bonds, whilst enjoying a delicious bespoke menu of FREE biscuit-inspired beverages and sweet treats, as well as fun, lighthearted ice breakers including a bespoke ‘connect 4’ activity.
As 1 in 3 Gen Z women reveal they bond best with new pals over a hot drink and sweet treat - it’s the perfect place to kick start broadening your circle!
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet women from the Young Women’s Trust charity, who recognise the power of building female networks to improve job prospects and support likeminded, young women to thrive.
The Young Women’s Trust champions young women aged 18 to 30 on low or no pay. It aims to create a more equal world of work and raise young women’s incomes. It offers young women free coaching, feedback on job applications and information to help them get where they want to be.
The pop-up will be completely FREE. Full details below:

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
