Not impressed. After paying £549 per person (we were a party of nine people) we were expecting a more comfortable experience. The first half of the evening was great, onboard the Dixie Queen. Things went downwards over the second half. We were a multigenerational family with elderly people attending the evening; hence, comfort and being in an area with controlled room temperature was important to us. We were allocated for the second half of the evening to a smaller vessel, with not enough tables and chairs for all the people onboard and not enough space in a warm, indoor area to remain comfortably. This meant that all of us needed to stay outdoors, in the upper deck, with no table to share and in a very cold condition. This really made the rest of the evening not comfortable and even miserable to us, as it was very cold and although we had the expectation that during specific moments we were going to be outdoors (i.e. during the fireworks and the elevation of Tower Bridge) and we were dressed accordingly, none of us ever expected that we were going to be outdoors for two hours. Furthermore, when we departed after the dinner on board the Dixie Queen, the other vessel (Elizabethan) was bigger, with visibly more space and we could even see even empty tables on that vessel. We were never told that we needed to pay more to be on the Elizabethan. We were all left with the feeling that we purchased the "cheap tickets"; hence, had the "cheapest experience" which was never our intention. Had I known that being onboard the Elizabethan required an extra payment and knowing what I know now after having gone through this evening with this organisation, I would definitely have paid the difference or if it was too expensive, I would not have booked this experience at all; because as I said, the second part of the evening was very unpleasant, cheap and miserable. Hence, I do not recommend this company or this experience unless you get everything very clear and in writing, particularly about where you will be allocated on the second half of the evening.
