Discover TWERK Basics, our newest class led by the dynamic
instructor, Alexandra Starr!
Do you like twerk but don't know how to do it? Tried it once a long
time ago? Or think you need a special figure to twerk? Let us prove
you wrong! This is your time to learn and shine like a star!
What is TWERK Basics?
TWERK Basics is a fun and inclusive class designed to teach
twerking techniques to individuals of all skill levels, from
absolute beginners to intermediate dancers. In this class we will
go through the main techniques in twerk, training flexibility,
muscular strength and musicality. Dance routines will vary from
uplifting and dynamic to slow, sensual ones.
Who can join TWERK Basics?
Anyone interested in learning twerking is welcome! Whether you've
never tried it before or have some experience, this class is for
you.
Do I need a certain body type or fitness level to
participate?
No! Twerking is about movement and confidence, not body type. Our
class focuses on teaching proper techniques and building
confidence, regardless of your fitness level.
What can I expect from a TWERK Basics class?
Each class begins with a warm-up that includes strength and
stretching exercises to prepare your body. We then dive into
twerking techniques, musicality, and flexibility training. Dance
routines vary from high-energy, uplifting moves to slow and sensual
choreography.
What are the benefits of attending TWERK Basics?
By participating in TWERK Basics, you can expect to see
improvements in your muscle tone, confidence, and overall body
shape. Additionally, twerking promotes better blood circulation in
the lower body, which is essential for women's health.
How is the class structured?
The TWERK Basics class is conducted as an eight-week mini-course,
with sessions held weekly. At the end of the course, there will be
a filming session to capture your progress and showcase the
choreography learned throughout the course, both in group and solo
performances.
About Alexandra Starr:
Alexandra Starr is a professional dancer with over 10 years of
experience. She learned how to twerk in Ukraine four years ago and
has since brought her knowledge and passion for dance to the UK. In
addition to twerking, Alexandra specializes in various dance styles
such as heels, waacking, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary.
Alexandra is available for private classes too, if you're

Our mission at BAW Dance is to provide you with more than just dance classes.
We create unique and empowering experiences and help you grow mentally and physically as a dancer.
We create safe spaces for women to learn and dance through our beginner belly dance classes, heels and floorwork, and burlesque dance classes in London and online.
We have helped dancers develop their solo acts, choreograph, and set up multiple performances by offering private in-person or online coaching.

T&Cs
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
