Mthokozi Khathi, born on August 24, 1976, is professionally recognised as DJ Tira, a DJ, record producer, and Kwaito artist hailing from Durban, South Africa. He is a key figure in the group credited with pioneering the Gqom music genre, which gained prominence around 2017. DJ Tira is renowned for nurturing numerous talents through his record label "Afrotainment," including artists like Big Nuz, DJ C’ndo, Dladla Mshunqisi, and Q Twins. Due to his consistent release of hit songs every year since his breakthrough, many refer to him as the king of Gqom music.

His Discography just speaks for itself, with songs & features such as "Won't let you go", "Happy Song", "Sifuna Abo Cheri" and many more, Not forgetting his latest singles, "Singenzenjani" & "Inkululeko'', Plus Compilations and Albums such as "Ezase Afro" & 'Malume Way" to name a few. He is undoubtedly a legendary artist in South Africa, known worldwide and recognised as a household name across many continents due to his extensive touring.
