Rising stars of the comedy circuit Alex Farrow and Ed Patrick bring you their new WORK IN PROGRESS stand-up shows for 2022.

One is a doctor and the other a philosophy teacher. Expect themes of therapy, stoicism, the NHS, medicine, anaesthesia and plenty of laughing gas.

Ed Patrick

Ed Patrick is a comedian, author and NHS anaesthetist. He has performed across the UK and is also host of several podcasts, including the ‘Comedians’ Surgery’ where he speaks to guests including Joe Lycett, Rose Matafeo and Reginald D Hunter about their health stories and experiences.

Ed is also creator and presenter of ‘Infectious Personalities’ broadcast on BBC Radio 2 with guests Charlie Brooker and Sindhu Vee. He has also written and performed on BBC Radio 4 for shows such as Jarvis Cocker’s Wireless Nights, Now Wash Your Hands and Newsjack. Ed has previously written for the Guardian about the intersection between medicine and comedy.

Following on from becoming a brand spanking new author (oooooh, check him), Ed Patrick emerges with the makings of a new show, named (for now) after his debut book Catch Your Breath: The Secret Life of a Sleepless Anaesthetist, a funny and honest memoir about becoming an anaesthetist (available in all your favourite bookstores).

'Brilliantly funny’ Matt Lucas

'Extremely funny' Telegraph

'Masterful, playfully provocative writing' Chortle.co.uk

'Packed with funny anecdotes' Guardian

As heard on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.

I enjoyed it but would have preferred more of Iain and Jacqui and less of Mary.
