Nightspot Cinema and The Institute of Light are hosting a romantic evening for all you music lovers out there. We are screening Love and Mercy (film), the heartfelt biopic about the life of Brain Wilson, the lead singer of the The Beach Boys, and how he falls in love and is rescued by Melinda Ledbetter. And we think it’s rather touching for valentine’s day, because it’s all true.
The Institute of Light will be offering a fine candle lit dinner before the film screening, with a couple of minor immersive Beach Boys elements to get you in the mood. And if that wasn’t enough, following the dinner and film we will be hosting a little Beach Boy’s party for all. Indeed, if you love music, and you love your partner – this is the spot for you.
And we have the music covered: SUNTA TEMPLETON from Radio X (XFM) and LIAM YOUNG from Hoxton Radio, who are both DJing all night 60's rock and roll and pop combined with a dedicated collection of Beach Boys and Brian Wilson #TUNES! Seriously good vibrations...
Love and Mercy was critically acclaimed, receiving two golden globe nominations for best original song and best supporting actor, while it champions a 96% Rotten Tomatoes rating and 7.5 on IMDB. It’s a great film.

Relive the history of modern music at Nightspot Cinema. We indulge in nostalgia for music through film and relive those moments and movements by dancing the night away in themed parties based around the sounds and style represented by the film.
We are the pop-up cinema that lives for the world of music and nightlife. If that’s your thing, come and spend the night with us and we’ll show you a different kind of party.
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
