Stefano’s early dream of becoming a Sommelier led him to leave his native Sicily for Milan. During his time in the city he gained invaluable experience in wine and beverage management, moving from Commis Sommelier (Dry Solferino Restaurant) to Wine Host (Salsamenteria di Palma). In 2014, Stefano’s path took him even further from home, this time to London. Here he started working as a Sommelier at the Michelin-starred La Trompette, gaining an extensive knowledge of fine-dining and honing his skills and knowledge alongside two of the UK’s most highly regarded Sommeliers – Laura Rhys and Tanguy Martin.
Stefano continued to work exclusively at Michelin-starred restaurants, including Galvin at Windows and Chez Bruce Restaurant in Wandsworth Common, working his way up to Assistant Head Sommelier, until his recent appointment as Head Sommelier at Chucs Belgravia, the Restaurant and Café Collection’s latest opening.
