The class is an introduction to the art of blending whisky, where guests are guided through the tasting of a variety of exclusive whiskies, and how to select different components to use in their own unique blend, combining different styles of whiskies aged in various cask types.

For Valentine’s Day, the additional chocolate pairing element will see the six different whiskies expertly paired with a complementary award-winning creation from Land Chocolate in East London.

The night includes a welcome drink, as well as a seasonal cocktail. You will then be able to take your own personalised blend home with you after the session, as well as a bar of your favourite chocolate to pair with your creation!

This is the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day with your loved one, or friend, and dive into the wonderful world of whisky.

Exceeded expectations and better than a straight forward tasting - lovely chemistry lab setting in the basement of a huge whisky shop. There is a welcoming , high alcohol whisky cocktail and very intense and expertly run class where you get an overview of whisky history, production, key tasting notes, taste what you like and how to blend a whisky that you like and you walk away with a bottle of your final blend if you choose individual option. If you choose share option, you have to share the final blend with your partner so I recommend individual as it is hard to agree a shared taste . While quite relaxed, not for stag dos or suchlike -but for people who are either new or fairly inexperienced with whisky and who want to learn more. Key thing is learning about 5 key styles of flavour. If you are an expert expert might be a bit basic but you can pick the brains of the tutor who seems to have worked in many distilleries and have a lot of knowledge.
