Learn how to make the popular Kansai street food, Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba from the Kansai native, Kinu Yukawa.
Learn to make the popular and delicious Kansai street foods, okonomiyaki and yakisoba. The name okonomiyaki derived from the word ‘okonomi’ meaning ‘as you like it’ and ‘yaki’ meaning ‘grill’. You will have fun making your own Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba with your favourite toppings.
Learn to make;
- Okonomiyaki
- Yakisoba
- Sunomono (Japanese pickled vegetables)
- Miso soup

About the Instructor:
Kinu Yukawa, Japanese Cooking Instructor & Food Stylist, was raised in the cosmopolitan foodie city of Kobe, Japan. Kinu fostered the basics of cooking at a young age from her grandmother who was an established chef. Kinu later trained in Japanese cuisine in Kyoto and Tokyo under washoku culinary masters. Kinu's lessons are hands-on and fun, focusing on teaching practical tips and techniques on Japanese cooking, as well as beautiful Japanese presentation skills. Kinu has been teaching Japanese cooking at Japan Centre since 2010, sharing her expertise, knowledge and passion for Washoku with all levels of Japanese food enthusiasts.

7. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
8. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
9. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
10. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
11. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
