Description
Join us for the 9th Annual Scotch Egg Challenge, Young’s yearly event which sees chefs from pubs and restaurants all over the UK come together to compete for the coveted culinary trophy.
As always, the winner of Scotch Egg Challenge 2019 will be decided by a panel of exacting expert judges including beer expert and educator Melissa Cole, author of The Beer Kitchen; The Guardian’s Bob Granleese; Lisa Markwell, food editor of The Sunday Times; and editor of Restaurant Magazine Stefan Chomka.
The judges blind-taste every egg, scoring each out of ten for taste, appearance and presentation with the highest-scoring egg overall being victorious.
Tickets include a drink on arrival and tasters of the competitors eggs. All ticket sales income will go to Only A Pavement Away, a charity creating an effective conduit between employers in the hospitality industry and those charities and associations whose main aim is to support the homeless, ex-offenders and ex-service personnel to reintegrate back into society.
A full list of competitors and further information for guests wishing to attend Scotch Egg Challenge 2019 will be made available soon.
