Hi! I’m Sai. A home chef by profession, I have been hosting Pop Up Lunches at my residence in Mumbai, India for the past 2 years. I’m excited to be here in London this September with cook ethos (www.cookethos.com) to host Supper Clubs and Cooking Classes. Together we’ll learn a host of recipes and you will be able to taste, learn and experience something unique and different.

Join me as I prepare to take you on a journey of traditional South Indian food served on a banana leaf. Experience the joy of eating with your hands. The food served will be typical of what is served in an Traditional South Indian Marriage.

Banana leaves contains natural antioxidant. When hot food is served on it, the food absorbs the nutritional benefits. The leaf also imparts a subtle aroma that makes the food more fragrant. Serving in a banana leaf is our way doing a bit for the environment since banana leaf is completely bio degradable.

We will start by serving the welcome drink, after which each dish is served starting from the top half of the banana leaf as listed in the menu, ending with the bottom half. I will explain each of the dishes while serving them to you. Each dish served here plays an important role to bringing out a different category of taste or lends umami to the whole meal experience. Once everything on the banana leaf is served, you can eat to your hearts content!
