This summer, come rain or shine, an indoor picnic oasis is opening in the heart of London, with the launch of Sainsbury’s Picnic Pavilion - and there’s a spot saved for you!
Sainsbury’s has launched an indoor
picnic oasis for those who enjoy the idea of dining alfresco, but
would rather not risk the weather dampening spirits or pesky wasps
ruining the vibe. Officially opening in Covent Garden this National
Picnic Week, lovers of picky eating can head down for a stress-free
picnic experience.
The stunning indoor garden will be welcoming guests from 12:00 – 20:15 on Friday 21st and 22nd of June, offering 90-minute slots for groups of up to six guests.
Igniting the Nation’s love for picnics, you’ll receive a Sainsbury’s picnic hamper filled to the brim with irresistible food and drinks from the latest Sainsbury’s summer range, worth over £55.
The delicious hamper includes a host of products, with lots of tasty options, including the new Taste the Difference All Day Scotch Egg, the Taste the Difference Extra Thick Tzatziki and Taste the Difference Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail. When booking your ticket, you can select either a mixed or vegetarian hamper, with gluten-free and vegan picnic options available upon request.

over the coming days, with additional tickets added regularly,

T&Cs. Walk in groups will be asked to make a £5 donation upon
entry.
The Sainsbury's Picnic Pavilion is just a 2-minute
walk from Covent Garden on the Piccadilly Line and 10-minute walk
from Leicester Square on the Northern Line.

By purchasing a ticket, you and up to x5 guests attending The Sainsbury’s Picnic Pavilion are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
Allergies/Dietary Requirements:
Please share allergies and dietary requirements with staff on arrival at the event. There will be vegan and gluten-free substitutes on the day. However, we cannot guarantee products will be available to suit all allergy and dietary requirements.
Please also check all product packaging on the day regarding your allergies and dietary requirements. You can find the full menu and relevant allergen information within the ‘Menus’ section.
As the food will be prepared in an environment that handles allergens, we cannot guarantee the absence of any allergens.
All items are subject to availability.
Accessibility:
The venue is accessible to all, offering stair-free access, disabled toilets and spaces for those who require higher seating. If you require an area that offers accessible seating options, instead of the standard floor seating, please book the relevant ticket option “Accessible option”.
Booking Process:
Bookings are for 90-minutes, and your session will end at the time specified. If you are late, we are unable to extend your session, but we will hold your slot for 15-minutes from the time booked. If you arrive later than 15 minutes of your event time, your slot will be given to a walk in.
Please note, you will not receive a refund upon cancellation, your £5 will be donated to Comic Relief to support organisations that are helping alleviate food poverty in communities across the country.
All monetary donations will be made to Comic Relief, which is the operating name of Charity Projects, registered charity in England & Wales 326568 and Scotland SC039730. Tickets cost £5 per group but you will be provided with a hamper of your selected food and drinks free of charge on the day.
The hamper itself is worth a value of over £55. Guests are welcome to take home any left-over food or drink within their gifted hamper baskets, there will also be cool packs available upon request. To cancel you must notify us directly by emailing sainsburyspicnic@hopeandglorypr.com. We ask that you give a minimum of 24-hour notice if needing to cancel.
Any personal or payment information provided as part of your booking will be processed by the third-party booking platform Design my Night in accordance with their privacy policy at https://www.designmynight.com/privacy-notice and by Sainsbury’s in accordance with its privacy policy at https://privacy-hub.sainsburys.co.uk/privacy-policy/.
Such personal data will be kept confidential and only used for the purpose of the event. Children are welcome at Sainsbury’s Picnic Pavilion, all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Behaviour Policy:
If you or any of your guests are disorderly or disturb others, you may be politely asked to leave by one of our team members.
We ask that you and your guests do not bring your own alcohol to the event. Any alcohol not provided by the event will be removed. Alcohol provided within the event will only be served to customer’s aged 18+. Staff will follow the Challenge 25 rule when asking for groups for ID.
