An intense re-imagining of the Bacchae by Euripides, with a hypnotic 1960s setting. 40 audience members mingle with 6 performers in a free-roam immersive show in an underground crypt.
Take a trip to the city of Thebes, where King Pentheus believes he has everything under control - that is until his divine cousin Dionysus turns up seeking revenge on the family who have expressed doubt about this upstart god’s status. Witness first-hand the clash between mortals and the divine. You will ask yourself … do you deny a god?

Please arrive at least 10 mins before the ticket time.
Doors will be open 7:30pm-7:45pm for entry on evening shows 3:00pm-3:15pm for matinee shows. There will be no admittance after 7:45pm 3:15pm for matinee shows.
Please note that the show is a non-seated event, where you can explore the set and choose to follow specific characters. There will be scenes of a disturbing nature and the performance is not appropriate for those with sensitivity to lighting - for further information email info@sleepwalkimmersive.com.
Bacchanalia is an 18+ experience and audience members will be offered alcoholic drinks. Some audience members may also be offered food to eat or clothing to wear. Please let the Front of House team know of any allergies on arrival at the show and prior to entering the set. You can email info@sleepwalkimmersive.com with any questions.
Our venue is a church crypt in Bethnal Green and not fully accessible. There is no cloakroom and large bags cannot be carried on set. Toilet facilities at CRYPT are limited, so there may be queues.

Sleepwalk Immersive
At Sleepwalk, we consider ourselves the next generation of fully immersive theatre. Formed in 2022 by a group of young creatives working in the industry, Sleepwalk offer intense theatrical experiences for small audiences, telling stories which will haunt and enthral.
Our creative team have grown up in a world of free-roaming theatre where the audience has agency. We understand this world better than any generation that has gone before and now we are seeking to move it to the next level.
Why merely dream, when you can sleepwalk with us? You might never wish to wake.
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue operates a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
