Our blues and improvisation tutor, Vic Sharma, hosting a night of live music in support of The Newman Holiday Trust, Kinamba Community Project.

The Newman Holiday Trust provides holidays for families with special needs, delivering much needed respite for careers and life changing, horizon broadening experiences for children who need it must.  Vic has volunteered with this charity and has seen first hand what it is capable of doing for those that receive its services.

The Kinamba Community project is equally vital, delivering grass roots education to young people in Rwanda as well as adult literacy courses and basket weaving courses. Other courses from the wide ranging list include a program that enable adults to work as tailors.  The Kinamba Community Project also manages child sponsorship programs. Vic sponsored a child some years ago, and has received regular updates on this child's progress into young adulthood, reaping the benefits of education, guidance and mentoring.

The evening features a full set from Vic Sharma and his backing band, Double Trouble

Additional music from Odd Box Eric, one of the UK's leading advocates and players of the Cigar Box Guitar. Expect old school blues played on an instrument you don't get to see or hear every day.

Grand old Echo are a folk music collective lead by Jenni Grossman, a gifted multi-instrumentalist. Lush harmonies, delicate arrangements as well as rousing big hitters from the folk canon.

Thomas Binns is writing this himself, while on a break from recording a new EP, and will also be doing two songs. But that ain't no big deal, and hardly worth mentioning.

Vic has been hosting events like this for years, and they're always a total blast. We'll be looking at a sell out situation here, so make sure you book. We have to limit tickets to 80.

Vis music sits across blues, pop, rock and Americana, he's awesome, but that's not really he point. This is party for two incredible charities.

A complete nightmare, to be honest. The secon act ahd a nice voice but he just shouted out his vocals and was unlistenable! Cam Cole had real problems setting up. After 45 minutes of fiddling adn loud feedback, he started, but was never happy with the levels and kept wanting everything tunred up to max, to the point that our ears were in seious jeopardy. We left after grimacing through four songs. What you would call a complete disaster of a night. Finborough arms does need to sort out its sound systems.
