With songs from the Belle-Epoque music halls of Paris, sultry sounds of the underground cabaret from the Weimar Republic to American jazz from it's golden age. Plus UK premiere's from our new musical, 'It's in the Air!' Helene Mathiesen is a classically trained opera and jazz singer and graduate of the Royal Northern College Music. Georgia is a composer, singer and pianist, currently studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. This concert is part of a fundraising campaign for a new musical production, ‘It’s in the Air!’ by famous German cabaret composer, Mischa Spoliansky to be premiered at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.
‘It’s in the Air’ is an original English adaptation of the hit German cabaret musical ‘Es Liegt in der Luft' by Mischa Spoliansky and librettist Marcellus Schiffer. First performed in 1928 with celebrated 20s jazz standards and chanteuse Marlene Dietrich in the starring role, the musical encapsulates the alienation within society and mindless extravagance of the Weimar Republic’s inter-war years.
The project is part funded by the Spoliansky Trust however we still have a third of our fundraising yet to raise. Having never been performed in the UK before, the showcase is the first stage in a larger plan to produce the full scale musical with a commercial production company. This fundraising campaign is an exciting opportunity for music and theatre lovers to support a musical in its beginning stages that has world-wide commercial potential.
Experience songs from the musical combined with other songs from the German cabaret era, French ballads from the Parisian musical halls and American jazz from its golden age.

2) Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
3) We operate a Check-21. If you are lucky enough to appear younger than 21 you may be asked for photographic ID.
4) Seating is available on a first come, first served basis only. Latecomers may be required to stand until seating becomes available.
5) Reserved seating is only available for ticket holders of 7 or more people. Please contact the venue if this is the case.
