London’s Second Line

London's Ruckus is an 8 piece New Orleans style Brass Band. The Band contains some of the top young jazz musicians on the London scene. The musicians are past and present students of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music.

London's Ruckus has always been a rag tag bunch of players, most had heard of each other through the grapevine, but for a lot of them, they had never played with each other.

Cameron Barnett - Sousaphone & Double Bass

Joel Knee - Trombone

Jacob Cooper - Trombone

Luke Vice-Coles - Trumpet

Tom Ridout - Recorder / Tenor Saxophone

Alex Shaw - Alto & Baritone Saxophone

Gustavo Clayton-Marucci - Clarinet

Jack Cousins - Drums

Cameron Barnett formed the group, as an intention to further his sousaphone playing. The overall sound of the group was fun and entertaining, it came together with little practice. The first audiences they played to love the band, so decided to run with it. Often found to be playing in the Guildhall Jazz Jam, today we present them on the main stage at Toulouse Lautrec.
