A celebration of the rich musical heritage of New Orleans and the Southern States presented with great humour and vitality! Featuring the music of such artists as Dr John, B.B. King, The Neville Brothers, The JB’s, Louis Armstrong, Alan Toussaint, Professor Longhair and Sidney Bechet to name just a few. A superb live show to satisfy even the most Catholic of tastes!
Expect a heady Gumbo of musical styles from Cajun to Blues, Southern Rock to Funk, Soul to Jazz and New Orleans Rhumba to Gospel. The Swamp Dogs, featuring incredibly talented musicians, present an amusing and unique night of musical entertainment. New Orleans helped to create amazing musical sounds that spread across the whole country and influenced 20th Century Pop Music. With stunning musicianship from players steeped in the Deep South styles, audiences are in for a treat!
Formed seven years ago by Jeff Williams the band has gone from strength to strength, year on year. Based in London, the band is a constant presence on the capitals live music scene. Spanning not just Jazz but Gospel, Cajun, Blues, Funk and Rhumba. "There's Jazz in all of it" says bandleader Jeff, "but we think the I Music generation love variation and we like to give it to them!" From Ronnie's in Soho to playing up the Amazon, from Poland to Switzerland the band are equally at home filling a hot sweaty dance floor or entertaining a club or theatre with their show.
