Hot jazz and modern pop blend together to create a futuristic atmosphere. As the name Jazz Silhouettes suggests, the shadow of a music era pervades the entire performance, from the choice of the set list to the visual style, taking the audience to an alternate reality where Bessie Smith shares the stage with The White Stripes, Louis Armstrong jams with Taylor Swift and Benny Goodman swings with the Cardigans.
Jazz Silhouettes started out as an acoustic trio founded in 2014 by Francesca Confortini, Giovanni Cresseri and Matteo Busti. The young and passionate performers developed their love for jazz while working as session musicians in the popular music industry, until they decided to cross over genres, writing their own arrangements of popular hits and turning them into timeless classics in a style inspired by the 1930s.
The trio, together and separately, has been performing in prestigious venues and events around Europe (Wembley Stadium, Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Live, Bar Américain Monaco, and many more) and for the first time they will be performing as a quintet accompanied by drums, male vocals and trumpet.
