The Cabbage Patch is aware that going to the pub to watch live sport can be a challenge for guests on the autism spectrum or with sensory or learning difficulties.
To promote greater social inclusion, The Cabbage Patch is proud
to host our first specially adapted screening of the Six Nations
rugby match between England and Wales to be autism
friendly.
The special live screening will have subtle changes to the viewing environment which mean people with sensory difficulties have a more positive experience than they would in a traditional pub setting. Changes and tweaks we have made include:
-Private room, with own entrance
- Subtitles on one of the 3 television, No adverts
- Lower than usual sound levels
- Allowance for increased levels of movements, Wheelchair friendly access and accessible toilet
- Fidget toys available
- Noise blockers such as ear plugs
- Adapted menus, Table service available
- Alternative seating such as bean bags for extra comfort
Please let us know when booking if you require wheelchair friendly table or a space to view the TV with subtitles.

refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
