Thomas Truax is one of the great rock eccentrics. He travels with a unique "band" of bizarre, self-made, Tim Burton-esque instruments, including a motorised drum machine made of bike wheels called 'Mother Superior’, an extensively modified gramophone called 'The Hornicator’ and his venerable resonator guitar ‘Hank'.

Thomas Truax is
a talented guitar player, storyteller, and performer who crafts
rich, poetically evocative songs about insects, trees, technology,
love, and a lifelong fascination with the Moon. His music evades
easy pigeonholing as his songs flit between art rock, post-punk,
50s rockabilly and a distinctive brand of surreal
Americana.
Though he usually performs solo, other notable past supporters and
collaborators have included Jarvis Cocker, Richard Hawley “Standing
at the Sky’s Edge” and Terry Pratchett.
