Description
This winter we invite you to get in the festive mood by joining us for a 5-course festive feast on our old London Underground carriage in Walthamstow. We'll be adding our own twist to the old Christmas classics.
For over four years London-based catering company Basement Galley has hosted their flagship dining experience "The Underground Supper Club" in one of London's most unique venues, a decommissioned 1967 London Underground carriage.
Kiss goodbye to dry turkey, vile stuffing and who the hell invented bread sauce!?
Founding chef Alex Cooper hails from North Norfolk and will be treating diners to a 5 course all from about 15 miles of his house - he's probably even having a pint with the farmer as you read! As such, Alex places a real emphasis on outstanding produce and provenance and guarantees a scrumptious start to the Christmas season. He also has the tedious task of pairing the wines to the menu...spare a thought!

FAQ:
Do you cater for dietary requirements? Yes. There is a section for that when you buy your ticket. The Underground Supper Club can cater for most religious or allergy requirements as long as they know in advance; otherwise they won't be able to cater for you on the night.
Is there a dress code? No. Please feel comfortable. Some people like to dress up a bit but others choose the t-shirt and jeans options. We just want you to enjoy your evening!
Is this a BYOB event? No. We will be offering a selection of fine wines carefully tailored to Chef Alex's menu!
Does the tube carriage move? Sadly not. Even though the photos might suggest otherwise, the decommissioned 1967 Victoria Line carriage is completely stationary at the Pump House Museum in Walthamstow.
Is the tube carriage heated? Yes. However, during the winter months you may wish to wear something a little warmer should a draft slip through. If you need a little more warmth, then ask us for one of our cosy red blankets....or hit the bar!
Will I be sitting next to people I know? Sort of. Despite silver service and high-end food, it's a supper club, NOT a restaurant. The organisers will try to accommodate people who book together close to each other, but please be prepared for sitting next to the odd stranger as well due to the layout of the carriage: it's been proven time and time again that guests who get to know fellow diners in this way get the most out of the evening! If you would prefer some privacy, we recommend booking one of our tables of 4 or VIP Booths.
What is the cancellation policy? Due to high demand and limited spaces, tickets are non-refundable. However, if you can't come tickets ARE transferrable.
