New Bar Spy - Blind Tyger

Paying homage to the first Prohibition era of the 19th century, Blind Tyger is a unique new bar concept setting up shop underneath Old Bank Street's Sandinista. In keeping with the ethos and aesthetic of its sister site in Leeds, drinks at the basement bar feature classic cocktails given a modern makeover, with everything from Juleps to Negronis getting an update.

The decor keeps things old-fashioned, with flocked wallpaper and taxidermy creating the backdrop to dark wood furnishings and ornate glassware. A date night destination in the making, the intimate space will no doubt be Central Manchester's new go-to for finely-crafted sips and one or two sweet-nothings.
