Two of the country's finest bartenders have launched a brand new bar in Manchester and it's looking sauve. Headed up by brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield, Schofield's Bar is promising classic cocktails, great music and warm hospitality.
Now, these aren't just any bartending brothers; Joe - who counts experience at London's The Savoy and Singapore's Tippling Club under his belt - was named as Tales' International Bartender of The Year and Bartender’s Bartender at The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2018, while Daniel has worked everywhere from Little Red Door in Paris to London's 69 Colebrook Row and The Liars Club in Manchester. They've even collaborated on a book - Schofield's Fine and Classic Cocktails. Expect big and boozy things from these two.
When it comes to the menu, think classics. The lockdown list includes cocktails, wine, beer, cheeseboards and charcuterie; all available for delivery. But it's the reopening sips that we've really got our eye on. There's the William Wallace (Chivas Regal scotch, Asterley Bros vermouth, Pedro Ximenez, sherry and orange bitters), as well as the VP&T (a vine leaf twist on the traditional G&T), and the vodka, rose, lemon and grapefruit-infused Solstice.
