What they say:
The Director's Box is the latest addition to Manchester's sports bar scene, set to open in early March. Offering a slightly higher-end experience than your typical local pub, the venue showcases live sporting events from across the globe, supported by a variety of draught and craft beers and a gin collection that's capable of rivalling any. Decorated with huge screen TVs, leather booths, low hanging lights and mahogany tones, the venue hopes to offer an easy-going spot for the city's many sports fans to unwind in.
What we say:
'Sports' and 'Manchester'; the two go together as well as fish and water. With two global football giants and a conveyor belt of talented young athletes, the city is crazed and laps up anything sports-related. We've seen a trend in recent years with sports bars trying to offer a more luxurious, comfortable experience and there is plenty of success to be had here. The competition will be fierce but if the venue's management can maintain a friendly, fun-loving environment throughout the year, there's no reason to believe this bar won't be a complete success.
