What they say:
Situated above The Deansgate pub at the end of Deansgate, 3TwentyOne Smokehouse & Liquor is a new restaurant and bar serving a range of locally sourced meat and fish dishes from a buzzing open kitchen. The tempting menu displays a Southern US influence with a good dollop of hearty Manchester flavour - with dishes including steaks, ribs, pates, fish and chops - as well as the famous Manchester Egg, and a range of meats smoked on the premises.
Non-diners are more than welcome to pull up a stool and enjoy a few drinks at this great new Manchester restaurant bar, where General Manager Edward Lowe has created a stunning range of prohibition-era influenced cocktails served alongside a range of UK and US beers and ales.
What we say:
With Edward Lowe having cut his teeth at some of Manchester's best bars including Living Ventures (The Alchemist, The Oast House etc) and Socio Rehab (now Luck, Lust, Liquor & Burn), 3TwentyOne already has the credentials to make it a cool new Manchester restaurant bar. The food menu looks creative and exciting - especially the intriguing Sharing Boxes; a twist on the traditional sharing platter which sees a range of kitchen favourites served in a wooden crate.
The rooftop terrace - formerly the secret beer garden of The Deansgate pub downstairs - is a great little suntrap, and the ideal place to enjoy some al fresco cocktails and snacks in the summer. We can't wait to give this place a go.
