1UP is a gaming bar and social event space created by game geeks for game geeks.
With a unique style of retro and modern game culture through arcade machines, pinball machines, consoles and board games, the bar and restaurant features entertaining nods to the gaming world. Highlights include an 8ft Donkey Kong - poised and ready to strike you down with a barrel as you enter, toilets decorated with Tetris-style blocks falling around you, Portal infinity mirrors, a Fallout emergency apocalypse fund collection box, and a Pac-Man/Tetris-inspired beer garden. There are over 50 entry-level board games available to use, as well as spaces created for Warhammer figure painting, Pokémon and Magic the Gathering card playing and D&D campaigns.
Almost everything inside is custom-built with constant nods to gaming paraphernalia, the staff are friendly and helpful to ensure you have a great time whether you came for a session or drinking and eating with friends.
