What they say:
A brand new restaurant and bar in the heart of the Northern Quarter, Allotment Bar is set to serve cocktails and fresh chow alike. From their living wall down to a corrugated iron bar, Allotment is a blend of the agricultural and industrial alike, a trait also to be found in the fare they provide. From a cocktail menu boasting it's own Thyme and Rosemary themed sections to hearty palate pleasers such as beef wellington and steak sandwiches, rustic is the name of the edible game at Allotment.
What we say:
We understand, there's been a lot of deliberation about the over-arching selection of new bars in the Northern Quarter, but for so creative a district to strive, I think we should be happy to have another new liquid number in its midst. Looking to be markedly different from the innards that many come to find from a Northern Quarter bar, Allotment looks like it could be providing Manchester with a darling taste of the botanical. We mean, come on, it's called Allotment. Here's us hoping for their own home-made cocktail bitters and an in venue greenhouse; one can dream, right?
