How best to celebrate a year on the Manchester drinking scene? In the case of popular bar Speak in Code it's open a secret sister site in the Northern Quarter. Cocktail bigwigs Nathan Larkin and Gavin Wrigley are putting their talents together to bring us Double Down, a cool spot promising 'cold drinks, hot dogs, and hip hop'.
The new space's location has been kept underwraps, but social media has given hints of a long oak bar top, cassette tape murals, and white brick work. When it comes to drinks, we're expecting the same forward-thinking and sustainable approach taken by Speak in Code, especially since the team's recent win at Cocktails in the City.
