What they say:
Brought to the Northern Quarter by Whiskey Jar's Pete Skelton, El Capo is the newest addition to one of Manchester's most bustling drinking hubs. Influenced by all things South American, El Capo is something of a love letter to this colourful and tasty culture. From a collection of over 70 tequilas, 21 mixology mastered cocktail creations, sandy interior shades to a kitchen set to open soon after the bar, (boasting South American tapas fare from Troy Amador's latino ventures), El Capo it set to be both authentic and atmospheric.
What we say:
Whilst the Northern Quarter has always been known as a plush destination for all sorts of culturally bound cavorting, we're chuffed to see South America as its next liquid destination. And what with Pete Skelton at the helm, heck knows its bound for independent success. From sneak peaks of upcycled wooden crates and sandblasted murals to sugar skull toilet doors, it looks like El Capo will maintain the colour of the culture, with a rustic and cool Nothern Quarter edge. Whilst we're not sure if it will reign supreme with the party hearty, it's set to go down a storm with the hipster heavy drinkers and diners.
