What they say:
Manchester's Northern Quarter is renowned for its trendy and cool drinking spots and Kosmonaut is no exception. Tucked down a side street slightly away from the main Northern Quarter hub, Kosmonaut's discreet frontage makes it a haven for those special people in the know. Inside it is all leather and wood paneling, effortlessly combining laidback lounge bar and elements of the classic American speakeasy. Retro barber shop chairs are positioned to one side of the bar adding a novelty addition to the comfortable leather lounge seating that surrounds the bar. Exposed brick is the hallmark of a cool American drinking den and Kosmonaut has that in abundance. With an ever changing cocktail list that is even too expansive to list on their website, Kosmonaut is rightly mentioned as one of the coolest hangouts in the Northern Quarter.
What we say:
This place is seriously cool. With minimal frontage, even as you step through the doors you're not sure where you are going to end up. The bar is of course a pleasant surprise with its exposed piping, brickwork and tiled bar reminding visitors of American saloon bars and countless classic film scenes. The bar stocks some great beers and ales like Brooklyn Brewery and the exhaustive cocktail list is an afficionado's dream; be prepared to kick back with friends and relax with a beer during the week while the weekends welcome a lively vibe with resident DJs playing the tunes to keep the party strong and the customers happy. Kosmonaut is one of the coolest Northern Quarter bars for a very good reason, the clientele, the drinks and the overall feel of the bar all combine to charm visitors time after time; but don't just take our word for it, search for Kosmonaut, you won't be disappointed with the result.
