Nestled inside Manchester's New Bailey development is a gorgeous LA-inspired late-night spot, and it’s like totally awesome.
Part of the yoga studio and daytime cafe Foodwell, Firefly transforms into a sleek bar as dusk falls, draping silky curtains over the floor-to-ceiling windows and decking out the venue with low-hanging botanicals and hundreds of firefly-like fairy lights.
Adding to Manchester’s ever-growing portfolio of luxe night-life spots, the bar focuses on spotlighting some of the city’s best DJs from its elevated booth area. A nod to the US state, the drinks menu includes cocktails such as the Glow Up (Tanqueray Gin, BarSol pisco and herb & earth shrub), kombucha-infused sips and a fully-stocked cellar of West Coast wines.
In terms of nosh, there’s a selection of small plates, larger dishes and detox bowls. Expect bites of cauliflower hot wings, white miso grilled chicken and black rice pudding - perfect for refuelling after taking to the tiles.
