Already boasting 2 London spots, The Refinery is a destination
that has made its name off the back of stunning fare and even more
delightful cocktails. Flushed with kitsch cocktails and inventive
mixes, guests to The Refinery at the XYZ Building (once the
Cotton), will be able to indulge in crafted mixology in a space of
British, magnetic design.
From replenishing breakfasts through to power business lunches,
late-night dinners, cocktails, masterclasses and pop-ups, the
restaurant and bar is an all-day escape for Manchester’s most
discerning drinkers and diners.
Spread across one beautifully designed floor, fronted by
floor-to-ceiling windows, the space has been carved into domestic
zones including a bar and casual dining area, a restaurant and a
cornered off lounge separated by statement screens to give an air
of exclusivity. As with all of the Drake & Morgan collection, it’s
the finishing touches that make the difference. Exuding an
industrial sophistication, feature lighting and touches of colour
and texture throughout are complemented by a carefully curated
range of home and lifestyle wares. An outdoor terrace, accessorised
with cosy blankets and hot water bottles, is perfect for
people-watching.
The Refinery Spinningfields keeps cocktails above the standards
of even the most demanding connoisseurs, serving up seasonally
inspired concoctions influenced by the latest global trends.
Small plates and mezze boards, ideal to share, are available
whilst larger mains – served from lunch to late – come in the form
of beautiful burgers such as the buttermilk chicken burger or Wagyu
beef burger. Superfood salads and classics such as hot smoked
salmon with beetroot, greek yoghurt & horesradish; lemon chicken
with sweet potato & caramelised onion; and braised beef shin with
polenta are just a few examples of the dishes diners can expect to
find. Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in a selection of
moreish puddings handmade daily.
