Description
The Parlour in Chorlton is a restaurant and bar sat bang in the middle of the very fashionable Beech Road, where good food and wine is expected as standard – and The Parlour doesn’t disappoint on either front!
The interior is decked out in scarlet Chesterfield sofas and mis-matched antique furniture that spills out onto the pavement. The tables are bedecked with fresh flowers and a piano waits in the corner while the jukebox features a good mix of indie, acoustic and rock 'n' roll. It’s friendly and charming and at night it really comes into its own as a chilled out hangout for young professionals (and celebrities of the local music scene).
The pub really prides itself on its local connections, and this includes many regional breweries which provide ever-changing casks and bottles; the wine list is one of the best in the area, with many available by the glass and knowledgeable staff on hand to recommend food and wine pairings. Speaking of which, the tiny kitchen punches well above its weight in terms of the quality of the dishes it produces - especially the Sunday dinners, which won the Best Sunday Roast award at the 2012 Observer Food Monthly Awards!
