In an archway right under Oxford Street Station, in the heart of the city, is The Thirsty Scholar. It hosts live entertainment most nights of the week including bands, comedy nights, and even poetry nights for you more artsy types. Perfect for any night of the week as The Thirsty Scholar does free entry for all events. At weekends it has regular 60's and Northern Soul DJ's, giving this bar more of a club feel but with the same warm and welcoming atmosphere you'll find throughout the week.
Between 12 noon and 5pm (4pm Monday - Thursday) the space is used as Mod's and Vegan Cafe serving breakfast and lunch, ideal for a little healthy snack.
