The Metropolitan, West Didsbury

The Metropolitan is a grand pub and restaurant in Didsbury, South Manchester, housed in a former Victorian railway hotel, which has style and character by the bucket load, a fabulous garden area and a fine wine and beer list! As well as the main bar, head out the back door and you will come across an expansive beer garden, complete with umbrellas, heaters and the stunning Stable Bar - half under cover and leading directly onto the outside seating area

FOLK

Folk has a reputation as one of the friendliest places in West Didsbury – and it's certainly unique with restored gymnasium floors, daily food floating out of the deli and restaurant as well as a smooth music mix of Jazz, Reggae and retro tunes. Head on down to this great West Didsbury bar for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Railway

Once said to be the smallest pub in Manchester, The Railway has now been extended but still holds its quirky and cosy charm with a great roaring fire; perfect for the cold nights. A classic Manchester pub; it has an extensive drinks collection with plenty of guest ales on rotation, beers together with premium spirits and affordable wines.

The Drawing Room

The Drawing Road is a dinky little bar on Burton Road in the trendy Didsbury area. It's an intimate and relaxing setting with great bar staff, all very well trained. Their cocktail menu is comprehensive and costs just £4 before 9pm, alongside other Happy Hour offers (house bottle of wine just £6). It is a breath of fresh air away from the city; just a short bus or taxi ride away, in the south of Manchester, it's the perfect chill out spot and families are welcome before 6pm.
