Thought that Manchester's nightlife scene was dead in the water? Think again. The Northern Quarter is set to breathe a new lease of life into clubbing as La Discothèque takes to Hilton House with Puffin Box. Forget what you know about sticky floors, queues for the bar and fighting your way to the front of the crowd because this club is a socially-distanced one.
A 90-minute immersive rave experience, Puffin Box invites you to party in the industrial venue which will hold five cubed boxes surrounding the DJs and performers. Each will be suitable for up to eight guests from the same social bubble and will feature comfy sofas, tables and a dancefloor. But what about the bar, you ask? Queuing for Jägerbombs is now a thing of the past, as you'll be able to pre-ordered drinks packages so that your box is primed with a fully stocked fridge.
Expect the very best in light, sound and music with takeovers from renowned local acts, international club brands and DJ collectives. We're talking heavyweights like La Discothèque, Hit & Run, So Flute and Funkademia before Manchester Pride close out the show with a two-day session.
As for safety measures, you can rest assured with one-way entry and exit systems, hand sanitiser stations, no contact between staff and guests and boxes disinfected between each session.
It's time to party.
