We all have that one friend (or yourself) who talks about cars to a worrying level and has their car as their Facebook profile picture. Well, finally you have a bar and restaurant to take them (or yourself) to with Garage Bar, a completely card-yard themed pop up in Bridge Street, Manchester.
As of 6th December, the 3-storey parking spot, formally used by Freemasons entering the Masonic Hall next door, has been decked in motor memorabilia: from number plates on the bar, wrenches used as door handles and tyres lining staircases, landings and even toilet sinks. Two floors have been set up for dining, with burgers and the one metre pizza starting from £7, while the upper floor acts as a spacey roof terrace bar. But it's not just the interior that revs up the car theme: the cocktails, all £7.50, have names like Spark Plug, Throttle and the scarily named Anti Freeze, which really drives the car idea home.
Garage Bar is at 36 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BT, serving food and drinks. The pop up is open from 3rd December until April 2017. Opening times are; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday (Noon until Midnight), and Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Noon until 2am).
