Last night saw Gorilla win the prestigious Bar of the Year award at the 2013 Manchester Food and Drink Awards.
The Whitworth Street bar fought off stiff competition from Kosmonaut, Australasia, The Jackalope, Revolucion de Cuba and Liquorice to take home the award, which is decided on by a strict judging policy and a public vote.
Marketing Manager William Dunn, AGM Andy Jane and Bar Manager Daniel Morris were there to collect the award, which was presented by yours truly, DesignMyNight.com.
The black tie event returned to the magnificent gothic surroundings of the Town Hall after being held at The Midland Hotel last year, and represented the climax of this year's Food and Drink Festival which took place from 26th September - 7th October.
Other notable winners include The French who took home both Restaurant of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, Stalybridge Buffet Bar who won Pub of the Year and Hearth of the Ram who were awarded the Best Food Pub of the Year.
