Foodies rejoice, GRUB is back once more, taking over Mayfield this summer with more traders, more bars and even more feasting to be had.
The city’s most popular food fest will descend on its Baring Street site for May’s first bank holiday weekend and is promising to be the biggest one yet. With the promise of a 50% growth in size, GRUB will welcome additional traders a new bar, dedicated kids area and extra seating.
Open from Friday to Sunday, GRUB offers guests after-work pints, vegan munchies and top-class street food from the likes of regulars What’s Your Beef, Parmstar, Bakeorama, The Ottomen and Chou Choux Patisserie, as well as a number of new guests. Wagyu Lookin’ At will be serving juicy burgers, Redheads Mac-n-Cheese will be dishing up tastes of the USA and Club Mexicana will have a plethora of mouthwatering vegan Mexican treats. To top it off, Sunday is animal-free so guests can explore many as vegan eats as their heart’s content.
Drinks, of course, will be available throughout the weekend. The current bar includes 12 keg lines, four casks and some of Manchester’s finest crafts alongside quality wines, ciders and soft drinks. The proposed second bar will be more of a quick-fix, serving cans and local beer, cider and boozy sodas from local producers.
The GRUB Food Fair will be taking place Friday and Saturday 12pm - 10pm from Friday 3rd May, with Plant Powered Sunday between 12pm - 6pm. The event is free to enter and is located on Baring Street, Manchester M1 2AD.
