If you like the sound of listening to quirky and original live jazz-acoustic music from a talented local band, whilst indulging on fine cuisine made on site by devoted chefs, then we’ve found the perfect night of sophistication right up your street. Don your jazzy beret (but don’t worry, you can wear whatever you like) and head down to Cibo Restaurant Bar in Didsbury on Thursday 26th September for their Jazz Night!
The Venetian restaurant bar is a venue run by the friendliest of staff, serving unbeatable Italian tapas-style dishes and fantastic cocktails including candy floss and popping candy favourites. On their Jazz Night you can indulge in all of the above, and more. For the price of £30 per diner, be prepared for a cracking four course meal from a special set menu created for the night whilst pampering your ears with the innovative sounds of the band. Gypsies of Bohemia, Manchester’s first Jazz manouche band, will be playing live music including twists of contemporary pop classics and covers of artists like Blondie, Girls Aloud and even Iron Maiden. The band, inspired by legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, emulates a similar charm to the Parisian Hot Club de France and is a perfect complement to the fine European cuisine on offer. A band with charisma and originality, the night as a whole promises to appeal to all the senses.
Cibo (pronounce chee-bo), also have a selection of fine wines, a chiccheti menu to get those taste buds going before your meal and a mezzanine outdoor terrace if we’re lucky enough to have a spot of dry weather. It is well worth heading over for this upcoming event as it’s the perfect way to treat yourself, and a few loved ones, on a Thursday night. It promises to be a memorable occasion.
