Manchester Beer Week has announced it will be back for its third year running this summer, with an event schedule taking place over ten days from the 29th of June to the 8th of July. The festival showcases the best pubs, bars and breweries in the city through a series of talks, tastings, tours and other beer-centric events. This year, organisers are keen to work with more restaurants and food outlets to create beer-focused meals and pairing experiences.
Last year's gathering of hops-heads saw more than 100 separate events held at 85 venues across Manchester, from live music to brewery open-houses. It also saw the creation of bespoke beers made specifically for the festival through collaborations between local brewers and those as far afield as Bristol and Falmouth.
The 2017 event worked closely with Street Support, a homelessness support network, raising over £2000 for the charity. Organiser Connor Murphy has confirmed that Manchester Beer Week 2018 will continue to support charitable causes and organisations.
