With May Bank Holiday just around the corner, it's time to dust off your sunglasses and get your shorts out of hibernation as the Northern Quarter prepares for its biggest party of the year, the Northern Quarter Takeover. Incorporating the famous Edge Street Party, as well as parties on Thomas Street, Back Turner Street, Stephenson Square, Tib Street and the surrounding areas, the Northern Quarter Takeover is set to be even bigger and better than last year.
On Sunday 5th May, 18 venues will be joining together for a huge 9-hour party with offerings from Almost Famous, Keko Moku, TV21, Apotheca, Trof and many more - expect great food, smooth music and plenty of drinks to get stuck into. The largest space is set to come from TNQ Restaurant and Bar who will host a Miami Beach bar on their terrace as well as a 'gincident' bar and huge BBQ with plenty of sumptuous treats to enjoy.

Solita In The Street also returns with year with DJs from Sankeys, Clique and Funkademia as well as XFM regular Gareth Brooks keeping the party jumping with a great selection of street food from Solita's as they raise money for Wood Street Mission. With guest DJs, fun fairs, live entertainment and even a tattoo parlour, the Northern Quarter Takeover is set to be the hottest party in town over the bank holiday weekend. Taking the essence of Northern Quarter bars and condensing it into a nine-hour party, what could be better?
So grab your friends, grab your dancing shoes, and get ready to experience one of the best parties in Manchester.
Sunday 5th May, 12pm - 9pm, free entry.
