This 80s pastime is getting a boozy, galactic-themed twist.

Please note: Paradise Skate World is now closed.

Mancunian humans, it's time to don your space buns, some glittering hot pants and whatever holographic clothing you can find, as Paradise Skate World is flying into Manchester with a cool galaxy-inspired version of roller skating. The new Great Northern Warehouse haunt is from the team Junkyard Golf and is offering you the chance to move among the stars, whether you're a seasoned skater or a total newbie.

Orbit the 4,500 square foot wood-sprung rink, cruising past celestial installations to laid-back beats from their resident DJs and linking yourself up to the 'central station' (a.k.a the bar and lounge island) whenever you fancy a quick sip. Better yet, after your rolling sesh is over, there's a second watering hole on-site for you to kick back at. Think cosmic cocktails and other lunar libations, such as beers or softer stuff, served up alongside a menu of pan-Pacific fusion food. Apparently, aliens are suckers for a touch of wasabi mayo with their space snacks too.

Paradise Skate World will be open to earthlings at Unit 5, Great Northern Warehouse M3 4EL from Thursdays to Sundays, starting on 2nd June 2022. For more cool and quirky things to do in Manchester, check out our guide here. Or, sign up to our newsletter for all the latest goss.
