As the weekend looms so does the panic hunting of things to do. Fear not - there are big things happening in the Northern Quarter this weekend, with ShudeHill Studio hosting a festival of arts and music. Best of all? It's all completely free!
Joining forces with M20 Collective Saturday 27th July sees the two host an assortment of visual and live art exhibitions during the day from 12-8pm in conjunction with an array of artists - from acoustic musicians, world music DJs and sub-cultural electronic sounds and live artists from the local Manchester area. Once the day has concluded an exciting afterparty will take place at 2022NQ headquarters.
The trail will start from the Studio at Thorniley Brow with two floors of art displays showcasing the city's emerging talent - here you can collect your wristband that will enable you to free entry for after party and selected drinks offers elsewhere. The outside marquee will also offer arts, activities, food and music from the likes of So Flute, DJ Mayeva and DJ Void. Head then to Thomas Street for the three venues that will also be showcasing Manchester’s emerging artists, both musical and metaphysical, in Odd, Bay Horse and Thomas Restaurant.
Once the day has ended and the sun has started to hide, head to 2022NQ where Dub Smugglers will be performing a special DJ set, and joined by Big War, French Fire and Neko Neko.
